This piece captures the boEdge of Time began with the lingering sensation of a spring afternoon. As sunlight slowly settles across the day, the body relaxes, perception softens, and time seems to pause for a moment. Familiar surroundings become slightly unfamiliar, suspended between stillness and movement.

The work reflects a sensation I often return to: moments from childhood that remain not as clear memories, but as traces of feeling. Certain colors, atmospheres, and rhythms can unexpectedly bring those sensations back, allowing them to reappear in new ways.

The softened and elongated forms in the painting emerge from this experience. Colors drift into one another, forms loosen and transform, and time unfolds as overlapping layers of sensation rather than a fixed sequence of events.

For me, Edge of Time is a space where memory and sensation quietly meet. It reflects the way familiar experiences continue to evolve, taking on new meanings as they move through the present.undary between fading and persistent memories, exploring the intangible moments where time blurs. Layered colors evoke the accumulation of sensations and the subtle shift of memory over time.

햇살이 천천히 내려앉는 봄날 오후, 몸은 조용히 이완되고 감각은 느릿해진다.
시간은 앞으로 흐르기보다 잠시 머물러 있는 것처럼 느껴지고, 익숙한 풍경은 조금씩 낯선 분위기로 변한다.
나는 그런 순간을 ‘시간의 가장자리’라고 부른다.

이 작품은 봄날 오후의 나른한 감각에서 시작되었다.
어린 시절 햇살 아래에서 아무것도 의식하지 않은 채 몸으로만 느꼈던 순간들은 시간이 지나도 사라지지 않고 감각의 흔적으로 남아 있다. 그리고 어떤 빛과 공기, 색채를 마주할 때면 그 감각은 익숙하면서도 낯선 형태로 다시 떠오른다.

화면 속 늘어지고 풀어지는 형태들은 이러한 감각의 움직임을 담고 있다.
색은 서로 스며들고 흩어지며, 형태는 고정되지 않은 채 천천히 변화한다.
시간은 직선적으로 흐르기보다 여러 층의 감각이 겹쳐지는 공간처럼 느껴진다.

《시간의 가장자리》는 과거에 남겨진 감각과 현재의 경험이 만나는 순간에 대한 작업이다.
나에게 이 공간은 기억과 감각이 함께 머무는 장소이며, 익숙한 것은 그 안에서 새로운 모습으로 계속 변화해 간다.
